Seal Sybolism: During the Spanish Regime, Bacolor became temporary capital of the Philippines and occupied by retreating Spanish forces. When Spaniards finally repelled British forces, King Philip ofSpain, in recognition of invaluable support of townspeople of Bacolor issued a royal decree on November 9, 1765 naming town " VILLA DE BACOLOR" with special coat-of-arms inscription "VILLA DE BACOLOR NON-PLUS-ULTRA" meaning "Town of Bacolor....One of many do not go further."
